Each pack contains all parts required to install a complete Click N Tow Trailer Light Wiring Harness on a 6×4 & 7×4 Box Trailer.

All cables are manufactured using marine tinned copper to provide durability and weather resistance. Each connection contains a waterproof gel which assists in protecting pins from dirt, dust and water.

NOTE: each of these packs do not include side markers, licence plate lamp, or trailer lamps, however the Click N Tow wiring harness is completely universal and compatible with any side marker, licence plate lamp and trailer lamp.

IMPORTANT: During installation, always ensure to install the main loom (Orange/8) down the right side of your trailer. Failure to do so will result in the left indicator to function as the right indicator and right indicator to function as the left indicator.

INSTALLING YOUR HARNESS: Installing your wiring harness is as simple as matching the product colour codes with the corresponding trailer diagram on the back of the packaging.

Question: How do I know that this system will suit my Trailer?

Question: Why should I only install the Main Loom (ORANGE/8) down the right side of my Trailer?

The Box Trailer Main Loom (ORANGE/8) is designed to be installed down the right side of the Trailer since it is designed to only operate the right indicator. To operate the second (Left) Trailer Lamp, the (PURPLE/7) Connection from Main Loom to the Second (Left) Trailer Lamp with 2 Pin Aux must be installed.
Failure to install the (ORANGE/8) Main Loom on the right side of the Trailer will result in the left indicator to function as the right indicator and the right indicator to function as the left indicator.

Question: How easy is the KT Click ‘N’ Tow Trailer Light Wiring Harness System to install?

The KT 50 Amp, 2 Pin Trailer Plug and Socket – No Crimping or Soldering Required!

This ‘World First’ KT 50 Amp Trailer Plug and Socket serves a similar purpose to the popular Anderson Plug or Heavy Duty Connector; however no crimping or soldering is required during installation.

The 50 Amp, 2 Pin Trailer Plug and Socket is an integral part of a specialised charge circuit. It essentially allows the passage of charge from the vehicle’s battery to pass through to an in-board one in a caravan, boat or 4×4. In effect they are exactly the same as the dual battery system you’ll find fitted to many 4WD vehicles.

This circuit is incredibly simple and is generally run from the vehicle’s battery directly through to the caravan,  boat or 4×4, via a circuit breaker arrangement.

The KT 50 Amp, 2 Pin Plug and Socket contains stainless steel Phillips head screws to secure cable inside the wire entries and silver plated copper pins to ensure a strong power connection. The KT 50 Amp Trailer Plugs and Sockets are suitable for use with 8mm₂ Cable (8B&S).

INSTALLING THE KT 50 AMP, 2 PIN TRAILER PLUG AND SOCKET:

Installation is as simple as loosening 4 screws in the wire entries, stripping cable approximately 10 mm and feeding into the positive and negative wire entries. Tighten all screws securely insuring no wires are exposed outside of the wire entries. Replace outer casing and tighten the 2 screws. All wiring instructions are provided with the product.

Each Socket is fitted with a spring loaded dust-proof and splash-proof cover to protect internal pins and wiring while the connector is not in use.The socket can be mounted to a vehicle or surface using the 2 mounting holes provided.

The Plug & Socket housings are manufactured using a strong UV protected Poly-carbonate housing which is virtually indestructible and durable through severe weather conditions.

The Plug will not fade due to it’s UV treated poly-carbonate.

OUTBACK KEV GIVES THE KT CAR COIL ADAPTORS A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY

G’Day Friends! Outback Kev here with a true blue, down to earth, test of one of those KT LED Car Coil Adaptors.

You know, in my game, a bloke lives or dies by their equipment. That’s why I personally test every bit of equipment before I take it out bush. A guy would have to be a flipping drongo not to do so. That’s why when I heard about these new-fang dangled Trailer Adaptors, that had purposely been designed to withstand the harsh towing conditions of the bush, i had to give it a burl!

Don’t get me wrong, every time I see a KT Product, I know its going to be great but i wanted to see whether it could stand the ups and downs of some off-road driving.

The first step was up the old bitumen towing my trailer at high speed. The Adapter contained an inbuilt LED Circuit Tester with 6 LED Lights which illuminated to provide me with an accurate way of seeing if all power circuits were securely connected. How many times have you been following a gallah and spilled your coffee in your lap because you had to brake suddenly, just because the guy in front had no brake lights, park lights or indicators?

 

Next step, a bit of off-road, going across some corrugations and through some pretty awful bull dust! You know the kind, so thick you need a couple of cold ones just to wash down the flies you’ve swallowed along the way. With the retracting lid over the entrance to the socket, the pins were all fully protected, even through at times the adaptor was completely covered in dust!

Perhaps the biggest test was crossing a few really steep creek crossings where the trailer and my vehicle were at stretching point. Normally this is where I would expect to see trouble such as plug pullout – or dragging, or snapping the connection completely, but no, these KT Car Coil Adaptors worked a treat. I feel like they were designed for me.

So next time you go off-road or even if you’re going to do some trickly towing, keep KT in mind! I highly recommend trying one of these beauties as they really make the job so easy – as it should be!

ABOUT THE NEW L.E.D TECHNOLOGY

KT Truck and Trailer Lamps – SUPERIOR L.E.D Technology.

The KT Trailer Lamp range was developed with the specific goal in mind of producing the very best performing trailer lamp available in the global market. It was determined that to do this, the output of the light had to be superior to any lamp currently available.

It was noted by the KT team that interior lighting for homes and buildings is very bright, smooth and soft. Yet for vehicle
lighting, the light output is always oddly shaped, streaked with patterns and essentially not as effective as it could be.
This is generally because trailer lighting requires specific size housings which limits design techniques and the passing of ECE and ADR, further restricting what can be achieved.

Working within this framework, the strategy became about re-creating the light source itself, not the housing or the lens. The KT team then set about designing an all new Light emitting Diode, that, although all looking the same, can be changed internally to create different angles of light. This allowed us to step away from the use of lens optics and reflectors to direct the light.

The results in light output can be seen below, with the KT lamps delivering the most incredibly even light output. The performance gains of this technology ensures that the lamps pass ECE and ADR with ease, they are more noticeable from all angles on the road, making them safer. Another safety benefit is the use of clear lenses and housings, as the transition from clear to red or amber is so dramatic, the attention these lamps demand from road users is far greater than that of traditional lamps, further increasing road safety.
